Melted World, LLC (“Melted World”) takes great pride in the relationships that it has developed with its guests. In keeping with this tradition, we at Melted World are dedicated to protecting your privacy and handling any personal information we obtain from you with care and respect. This Privacy Policy is designed to answer your questions regarding our privacy policies and principles.

What information does this Privacy Policy cover?

Except as specifically described below, this Privacy Policy applies only to personally identifiable information collected on the Web sites where this Privacy Policy is posted.  When this Privacy Policy uses the term "personally identifiable information," we mean information that identifies a particular individual, such as e-mail address. Personally identifiable information does not include screen names (also known as member names, usernames or other online aliases) provided by our guests in the course of registering with or using any of our Web sites. Personally identifiable information is sometimes referred to in this Privacy Policy as "personal information." Finally, the terms of this Privacy Policy are subject to all applicable laws.

What types of personally identifiable information do we collect about our guests?

We collect several types of personally identifiable information about you.

• Non-Account Activity. You can watch videos and/or photographs on Melted World without having a Melted World Account.
• Account-Related Activity. Much of the personally identifiable information we receive comes directly from you. Certain other activities on Melted World—like uploading videos, photos, posting comments—require you to have a Melted World Account. We ask for some personal information when you create a Melted World Account, including your email address and a password, gender, birth date and country, which we may associate with personally identifiable information. Of course, your password is used to protect your account from unauthorized access. 

Information Collected Through Technology

We collect information through technology to make our sites more interesting and useful to you and for various purposes related to our business. For instance, we may record information about your usage, such as when you use Melted World, categories, the contacts you communicate with, as well as information you display or click on in Melted World  If you are logged in, we may associate that information with your account.

Our Web site collects information through a variety of technical methods, including cookies that are pieces of information that a Web site sends to your computer while you are viewing the Web site, and may involve the transmission of information either directly to us or to another party authorized by us to collect information on our behalf.  We also may use technical methods to analyze the traffic patterns on our Web sites, such as the frequency with which our users visit various parts of our Web site.

Many advertisements are managed and placed on our Web site by third parties. These companies are called “network advertisers.”  Network advertisers who place advertisements on our Web site may themselves use cookies and Web beacons to collect non-personally identifiable information about your visits to our Web site and other Web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. Finally, please keep in mind that if you click on an advertisement on our Web site and link to a third party's Web site, then our Privacy Policy will not apply to your personally identifiable information collected on that third party's Web site and you must read the privacy policy posted on that site to see how your personally identifiable information will be handled.

You may also provide us photographs or other video materials, which may contain personal information. We may collect personal information when you register on, log on, or visit our Web sites, including when you participate in activities on our Web site. Finally, our Web site may offer message boards, social community environments, profile pages, and other Public Forums (as defined in the Terms of Use governing our Web site (the "Terms of Use")), as well as other features in which you may provide us with User Submissions (as defined in the Terms of Use). Any personal information or video content that you voluntarily disclose online using any of these features (i.e., on discussion boards, in messages, within your playback or profile pages, etc.) becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by others without limitation as to its use by a third party. Our rules regarding User Submissions are described in the Terms of Use.

Information That We Collect from Others

We may update and supplement personally identifiable information that we have collected directly from you with other information that we obtain from third parties. In addition, we may obtain personally identifiable information about individuals who are not yet users of our Web site. In addition, when we associate information that we obtain from third parties with personally identifiable information that we have collected under this Privacy Policy, we will treat the acquired information like the information that we collected ourselves and, except as permitted by this Privacy Policy, the information will not be shared with third parties.

Uses

• If you submit personally identifiable information to us through the Melted World Sites, we use your personal information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Melted World Sites, as well as provide special personalized features to you.
• Your account name (not your email address) is displayed to other Users when you upload videos, photos or send messages through the Melted World Sites and other Users can contact you through messages and comments. Any videos or photos that you submit to the Melted World Sites may be redistributed through the internet and other media channels, and may be viewed by the general public.
• We do not use your email address or other personally identifiable information to send commercial or marketing messages without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out. We may, however, use your email address without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as notifying you of major Melted World Site changes or for customer service purposes).
• As explained above, we use both your personally identifiable information and certain non-personally-identifiable information (such as anonymous User usage data, cookies, IP addresses, browser type, etc.) to improve the quality and design of the Melted World Sites and to create new features, promotions, functionality, and services by storing, tracking, and analyzing User preferences and trends.
• As explained above, we use cookies, and log file information to: (a) provide custom, personalized content and information; (b) monitor the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns; (c) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, pages viewed, etc.; and (d) track your entries, submissions, .
• Regardless of any opt-out choices that you make as specified below, we will disclose personal information when we believes in good faith that such disclosures (a) facilitate compliance with laws, including, for example, compliance with a court order or subpoena, or (b) will help to: enforce our Terms of Use; protect your safety or security, including the safety and security of property that belongs to you; and/or, protect the safety and security of our Web site and/or third parties, including the safety and security of property that belongs to us or third parties.

Your Choices

• You may, of course, decline to submit personally identifiable information through the Melted World Sites, in which case you can still view videos or photos and explore the Melted World Sites, but Melted World may not be able to provide certain services to you.
• If you do not exercise your opt-out choices upon registration or initial log-in at our Web site, it may take up to ninety (90) days for your opt-out choices to be fully effective. Our systems require time to update, and promotional mailings using your personal information shared before your opt-out may already be in process. .

• You may update or correct your personal profile information and email preferences at any time by visiting your account profile page.

How will you know if we amend this Privacy Policy?

We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time. If we amend this Privacy Policy to permit material changes in the way we collect, use, and/or share your personal information. Any such amendment to this Privacy Policy will be effective thirty (30) calendar days following our posting the changes on the Web site covered by this Privacy Policy. Please note that, at all times, you are responsible for updating your personal information to provide us your current e-mail address. In any event, an amendment to this Privacy Policy may permit material changes in the way we use and share personal information that you provided us prior to our notification to you of such amendment. If you do not wish to allow such material changes, you must so notify us (in the manner we specify) prior to the effective date of the amendment. If you provide us this notice, we may choose to deactivate your account. Please be advised, however, that, regardless of whether you provide such notice to us, any such amendment to this Privacy Policy will apply to any personal information that you provide us on or after the effective date of such amendment. COPPA

In conforming with The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) laws, Melted World will not knowingly collect or use personal information from children under 13. We are not responsible for the data collection and use practices of nonaffiliated third parties to which our web sites may link.
